Main Dish - Concept Arts
This page consists of concept arts made from my diploma.
**Due to the limited storage on Wix, I have to show my behind the scenes (sketches, progress, notes) in my drive, feel free to check them out here!
Late Rive (2018)
An individual project using Ren'py programming.
A short visual novel about the player, detective Ken helping his client, Catherine solve her father's mysterious murder case.
I was interested in making a mystery themed game like the Danganronpa series and Ace Attorney series where I got the inspiration from.
A screenshot of the main menu. 'Late Rive' is an anagram for La Vérité meaning 'The Truth' in French, not only is the victim called Rive, but also reflecting the game's theme of finding the truth.

Story Concept Art (2017)
This is a group project where we create characters and environments based on a story we all made, then we create concept arts for them through our art styles.
As well as trying to follow the theme of 'not to judge a book by its cover'.
The story is about a pirate (Raphael) hated by the people from the city of water, trying to stop the actual villian (Theo) from stealing all the water from the city!

A destroyed city that Raphael's crew got falsely accused for. Theo is the head of the restoration project but with a hidden motive of taking over the hidden water reservoir.
The final scene where Raphael and Theo will fight each other.
Architecture Concept Art (2017)
This is a group project where we create buildings based on our story.
Our story is about a girl who fell into hell and she traverses through 7 layers also known as the 7 deadly sins.
My part is the final layer of hell - Spiral of Vanity, the sin of pride.
Building introduction with some story lore about my part of the story.

A breakdown of props and decorations used for this architecture.
Vehicle Concept Art (2017)
The topic I was given: A vehicle in a post-apocalyptic world.
The name of the vehicle, UM-i, is based on the Japanese word for ocean pronounced "umi".
The planet has been covered in mostly water after the apocalpse hit. Thus, UM-i became the first rendition of a storage vehicle built to carry supplies across the ocean.
Vehicle introduction with some story lore of the world setting.
A template consists of a turnaround of the UM-i, colour pallet choices and driver comparison.
This template shows the different functions the UM-i have that will assists it in the post-apocalyptic underwater world.
This is a breakdown of UM-i.
Anthropomorphic Character (2017)
Final character concept art project based on animals.
The topic I was given: A Polish monkey hairstylist.
We were also required to make 2 side characters related to the story we make.
The name "Noc in Poland" means "Night in Poland" a play on the meaning and a translation question "What is night in polish?".
Felicity's full body turnaround and comparison chart with the other 2 characters, Austin the cat and Emi the bat.
A template of Felicity's expressions.
Character poses of Felicity interacting with the other 2 side characters, Austin the assistant cat and Emi the idol bat.
Accidental Character (2017)
First concept art project, learning about different art styles for different animated series.
The animated series I chose is Bee and Puppycat.
The character I created is named Ema, someone related to Deckard and Cass!
While she doesn't visit the homeland often due to her studies becoming a musician, she still keeps in touch through letters.
